Jonathan was a valuable member of the technical team. His ‘can do’ approach coupled with a deep technical knowledge was appreciated and valued by his technical colleagues as well the wider business. Tasks were always completed in a conscientious manner and seen through to the end.

I worked with Jonathan on a number of projects in a secure environment over a three year period. Not only did he demonstrate excellent technical knowledge but, when considering potential solutions, always remembered that at the end of any technical solution were real people trying to do a real job. Jonathan worked at BIS (formerly DTI) for a number of years in various technical architect roles, particularly related to remote access solutions but also developing into an enterprise-wide role. He has deep technical knowledge and understanding and is able to translate this into focused advice for an organisation to meet its objectives. He can be relied upon to give evidence-based advice not tainted by political influence.

His early work was an important contribution to delivery of a cutting-edge Citrix-based remote access solution. His latter role as enterprise systems architect was based more on analysis and advice than delivery and suited him well. He only left BIS because of changes in Government policy around contracting and, if we had been permitted, we would have retained his services.

I worked with Jonathan on very difficult project spanning 18 months. Jonathan was the security consultant and technical lead for the client. I worked closely with Jonathan who had a practical and pragmatic view of the issues we faced. He provided valued advice and guidance which was both in keeping with the business requirements and the technical/security parameters. I would happily work with Jonathan again and recommend him without hesitation.

Jonathan worked for me for four years across a range of design and delivery ICT projects. He has a broad and deep range of IT skills and knowledge and a very strong problem solving ability.
